Coordinator of SGRG

Prof. Udayanga Hemapala is a distinguished expert in electrical engineering, specializing in power systems and smart grid technologies. Known for his research in automation and sustainable energy, he brings valuable industry insights and academic excellence to his field. Prof. Hemapala is also a dedicated mentor, inspiring students and professionals alike with his expertise and innovative approach.

Our Lab Incharge

Dr. Manuja Gunawardhana

Dr. Gunawardana obtained his B.Sc. Degree in Electrical Engineering with First Class Honors in April 2016 from the University of Moratuwa. Upon graduation, he worked as a temporary instructor and a temporary lecturer for eight months at the same university. In January 2017, he joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the University of Manitoba, Canada to pursue fully funded masters and doctoral degrees.
